Customer-Driven Products
Outliers are purpose-built applications not related to Information Management governance, that we've created for a particular client scenario and then generalized, standardized, and made configurable so they can be reused across organizations.
We have the full engineering capability to design, build, and support these additional solutions. Because each Outlier focuses on solving a single, clearly defined problem, the apps are typically compact, simple to deploy, and easy to maintain.
Outlier apps share these characteristics:
- Originated from a real customer use case
- Narrow scope and clearly defined purpose
- Compact, targeted functionality
- Configurable rather than custom-built for each deployment
- Built and supported using the same engineering practices as our main product line
DutyLine™
Lightweight surge responder scheduling for crisis operations
Some organizations need a fast, lightweight way to coordinate staffing during emergencies without deploying a full scheduling or workforce-management system. DutyLine™ is a compact SharePoint-based surge-response scheduling app designed specifically for crisis situations requiring rapid assignment and tracking of 8-hour shifts.
All shifts, responder pools, and attendance records are stored in SharePoint lists, making them easy to update, audit, and report on. Supervisors can adjust schedules directly, and Power BI can consume the data immediately for operational or after-action reporting.
The app enforces key operational rules, including preventing back-to-back 8-hour shifts and ensuring rest periods after consecutive days of work. A simple sign-in/sign-out interface can be placed on a tablet in the response room so responders can log their attendance quickly.
A Power Automate flow generates an attendance spreadsheet for finance, ensuring staff can be compensated based on the actual hours worked during the crisis period.
